Dominate dog doing Dog Training 101?
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009I 'm the week 5 / 10 in a school of LVL's top dog. We learn to praise and a string of strangulation. If the dog isn 't that follows the command you Flip the channel, if the dog is doing well praise. My issue is that I have a GSD of 1.5 years (Samson) with which it is a dog domination begin. He 's also a rescue dog that I got when he was 6 months. He will always walk ahead of me and it doesn 't always obey me if there is anything else in the table (such as another person walking a dog). He 's in really bad on the assembly of other dogs too. He 's also a teething ring. Not a bad bite, dog bite you just typical of the reunion. It 's more annoying that anything. My school said I have to "Flip the harder" in the chain of strangulation;. Doing that seems to have more of a positive effect on their obedience, but he launched up today and looked to be some blood in your vomit. I'm curious if there is hope for this dog of domination with this kind of training. I 'VE training AIDS him for 5 weeks for a minimum of 30 minutes a day and I' VE seen a slight improvement from day 1 but I 'd say it' s about a 10% increase so far. I also think he 's may be one of the worst behaved dog in class. I know it 's the trafficker and I take full responsibility, but working hard in training and it seems I'm missing something. So I have taken daily for a 60min walk or the dog park since I 've had it. This is a basic obedience school where we are working on the slope, staying, laying … etc.. makes this kind of school work with dogs as fluent as mine? Keep going to this school until it 's finished, but I' m asking if I look at a class designed for dogs with behavioral issues? Thanks for reading and responding.
